In Artists Colour
Blue has been appreciated for many reasons as one of the most favourite colour among artists, be it in water colour, oil based, acrylic or pastel on various substrate.
In ancient times blue pigment extracted out of naturally occurring semi precious stone – Lapis Lazuli , used only in special paintings of high value and religious nature because of prohibitive cost of the pigment.
The great masters of Dutch and Italian Schools of Painting used refined natural ultramarine in religious paintings.
The use of Ultramarine pigments became very wide and increasingly popular with its increasing availability and reduction in cost substantially and more importantly for variety of tone and shade.
SBP’s Grades of ultramarine have a wide choice of shade and being extremely fine in nature and having high tinting strength is popular in this segment of application.
