The Grades of Ultramarine Blue produced offer full range of shades which can be broadly described as follows, for application from Domestic Laundry to Industrial Segment. The Grades thus can be broadly divided into two categories viz. Laundry and Industrial.

APPLICATION IN CALICO PRINTING

Ultramarine blue due to its high alkali resistance and excellent light fastness property finds successful application in Calico printing and colouring of cotton yarn. The tint obtained by using Ultramarine blue is unique in shade purity when compared with other blue dye and pigments.

The high hydrophilic nature of Ultramarine blue and fine particle size of Industrial grades facilitates ease of dispersion and homogeneity with thickening agents like dextrin, starch and non acidic gum used in Calico printing.
