Ultramarine Blue Pigments Property & Applications


Ultramarine Blue is unique in respect of Purity of Colour, Safety, Non Toxicity and Non Hazardous Properties. It is a Time Tested Pigment from the Biblical Era as Lapis Lazuli and from the time of synthesis By Guimet in 1828. The Brightness of the Colour both in Masstone as well as in reduced tone is unmatched for the Shade Purity and Colour Saturation. It is very well accepted for its extremely fine Particle Size and High Wetting property and affinity for water as well as most solvents, Oils and Resins. These Properties made favourable use of this in Plastic, Paint, Rubber, Paper Coating, Printing Ink, Powder Coating, Cosmetics and many more compared to other Blue dyes & Pigments.

Insolubility of Ultramarine Blue in water and all medium attributed the Property of Non Bleeding and also its Refractive Index being Similar to Resins Produces Transparency in Plastic Films.
